My name is (An)Drew Llave, which translates to “key” in Spanish, hence Keys Tattoos.

I grew up in from Galesburg, Illinois and moved to Chicago after an failed attempt at nursing school. I finished my B.A in Communications and Media Studies in 2019 at Northeastern Illinois University. During my time in Chicago, I worked at a pretty popular art materials retailer, so I experimented with a vast selection of different media, finding a preference first in acrylic paint and pop culture related art. This time in Chicago influenced me heavily, helping to shape my thought process and approach.

My work blends traditional elements while drawing from my Asian heritage, Chicano culture, and an endearing love for Hip-Hop. I’m in constant pursuit to achieve the tattoo you want.
